We provide audiometric testing both in office and on-site in our specialized trailer. The audio test (audiogram) is performed with computer equipment in a sound booth that presents pure-tones and requests responses from the person confirming the tone was heard.
This test identifies any hearing loss, begins with a baseline test and is followed over time to make sure the work they are performing is not taking out the hearing they began with.
We perform both tests, both in our office and on-site in our specialized trailer. A respiratory fit test is electronically testing the proper fit of a respirator worn by the employee to confirm it will safely protect him or her from hazardous airborne particles (H2S, chlorine, silica (sand) blown in the air, etc.).
Pulmonary function testing is a breathing test that identifies any obstruction or restriction in the lungs. It can identify certain diseases, and a decrease lung capacity would prohibit the use of a respirator.
